Build responsible imaging AI with us

TamRx is building decision support that shows clinicians its evidence and defers when that evidence is insufficient. We are forming a small founding team and are recruiting two senior roles.

Head of NHS Commercialisation

Part-time initially · Founding-team role · UK-based, remote with visits to Leeds

You will lead TamRx's commercial route into the NHS: from the first evaluations with breast imaging services to procurement and adoption at scale. You will work directly with the founder and own the commercial side of the company.

What you will do

  • Set the NHS go-to-market strategy for breast imaging, including which services, regions and screening programmes to approach first.
  • Build relationships with imaging networks, trust innovation and procurement teams, and Health Innovation Networks.
  • Develop the value proposition, business case and health-economic evidence that commissioners and trusts need.
  • Plan the procurement route, including frameworks and pathways used for AI and digital diagnostics.
  • Prepare the assurance pack that NHS buyers expect, with our clinical and regulatory leads: DTAC, DCB0129 and DCB0160 clinical safety, DSPT and data protection.
  • Coordinate commercial planning with our regulatory work: the MHRA software as a medical device pathway (UKCA), our ISO 13485-aligned quality management system, and later the FDA pathway.
  • Shape pricing, contracting and evaluation agreements, and support fundraising conversations.

Experience we are looking for

  • A track record of selling or implementing digital health, diagnostics or medical technology in the NHS.
  • Working knowledge of NHS procurement, including frameworks and business-case approval.
  • Familiarity with DTAC and DCB0129/DCB0160 clinical safety requirements.
  • Understanding of MHRA medical device regulation and ISO 13485 quality management as they apply to software.
  • Experience in imaging, diagnostics or AI adoption is a strong advantage.

At this stage the role is remunerated with vesting equity, moving to a paid role after our seed round.

Clinical Lead, Breast Imaging

Part-time · a few hours per month to start · Remote, with occasional visits to Leeds

You will make sure TamRx is evaluated and built to the standard of an experienced breast imaging clinician. You will be the clinical voice in our design, evaluation and safety decisions.

What you will do

  • Review the approach on difficult breast imaging cases, especially breast ultrasound, and challenge where it falls short.
  • Design and oversee reader studies, including case selection and the clinical questions they answer.
  • Advise on how evidence, uncertainty and the "insufficient evidence" signal are presented to clinicians.
  • Contribute to clinical risk management under DCB0129, including hazard identification and review.
  • Support conversations with clinical teams, academic groups and NHS services.

Experience we are looking for

  • Consultant radiologist, or equivalent senior clinician, with substantial breast imaging experience.
  • Hands-on experience of breast ultrasound and the assessment of screen-detected and symptomatic cases.
  • Current or recent GMC registration; experience in the NHS Breast Screening Programme is an advantage.
  • Interest in AI evaluation and clinical safety. Willingness to train as a Clinical Safety Officer is welcome.
  • Ideal for a clinician with a portfolio career or who has recently retired.

At this stage the role is remunerated with vesting equity, moving to a paid role after our seed round.
